Charles Winborne- Scoring Machine
This kid would be a great pick up for us. He provides one thing our hoops team needs badly & that's scoring. Reminds me of BHop the game I saw him play.
The kid committed to Centenary before his senior season on the advice of his high school coach who was a very good player @ Centenary years ago. I know, Centenary, don't laugh, they beat us last year.
Anyway, the kid is a legit D1 prospect showing up on the radar of many schools, including us for some time now.

LOYOLA 84, NORTH CADDO 76: At Loyola, Charles Winborne poured in 46 points to lead the Flyers (26-8, 6-4) to the District 1-2A victory.
MANSFIELD â€" Charles Winborne made history in Loyola's 64-59 victory over Mansfield on Tuesday. Winborne's game-high 35 points pushed him past the 3,000-point mark in his Loyola career, making him the second local player (Robert Parish) and 67th national player to reach that plateau.
Winborne now has 3,002 points in his career.

your post about this kid got me thinking. What's become of all the scorers in DFW? Where are the Ryan Mendez types? Hey now that we've changed our admissions policies, a Glendon Alexander type wouldn't be bad either. I can remember checking the DMN whenever guys like this were in HS just to see how many they'd scored.

Guys like Cameron Clark @ Sherman, TJ Taylor @ Denison & Dre Evans @ Carter & LeBryan Nash a soph @ Lincoln.
As far as the local seniors, Marshall Henderson from LD Bell & has signed with Utah. Preston Medlin @ Hebron committed to Utah State, Nolan Dennis from Richland signed with Memphis, Shaun Williams @ Duncanville is headed to Texas.
Some of the unsigned seniors that I have seen play & can score are Preston Whitley @ Frisco Wakeland & Amos Wilson @ Newman Smith, & Willis @ Pinskston.

Yes I did, and we were discussing another Loyola player, just the other night.mustangbill67 wrote:Believe Loyola Prep is where XTC went to high school.
I'd love to see Winborne come here, he's the best player out of Loyola since Billy Thomas (shooting guard at Kansas 10 years ago, broke their 3-point records).
Try not to choke on the Kool-Aid.
I dont see what one has to do with the other? If Glendon had any desire to come to SMU he would have gotten in, the sticking point was he didnt have any interest.RGV Pony wrote: Hey now that we've changed our admissions policies, a Glendon Alexander type wouldn't be bad either.
It's not like his sister had any trouble getting in, Kaci was a 3 year starter for our womens team.
