Southern Cal is very proper. LSU is an exception, and it is a rather "state" school... Alabama Texas Michigan Florida Oklahoma Yeah, they are all called UA, UT, UM, UF, OU, etc...but what name gives them more "status"? We are known outside of texas as Southern Methodist. In Texas, SMU for short. The campus has made a rather politically correct push to be "known" as SMU - so as not to discourage our non-Methodists ...or non-Christians. Don't want to offend anyone.
I thought the survey proved SMU is a catholic school.

We could make a little hop or not move at all.

While we may improve 1 or 2 wins. The jump will be in no way BIG. Think about our D. Think about our LBs, S and DL. The D-Line will probably be worse than last year. Everybody that started on it will be gone! The only part of the D we could have some depth is Corner (if the JUCOS work out)
The O will be better however. Hopefully someone works out at RB though. Another 300 yards of total rushing year will leave us in the same spot. But. If Bo gets injured what do we do at QB? Padron has played 5 games in HS. Im not saying anything about Braden, im sure he is great, but I just have not ever seen him play.

As long as we don't head in this direction!!!
This is the road from Surfside TX to Galveston shot today. Ike is still leaving his trail around the coast.

D will be better than last year, JJ has put emphasis on beefing up D in getting Margus to play and 09 recruiting class was D heavy, plud some freshman and RS maturing. I agree, if BLM gets hurt, we lack bigtime depth, but saw Braden in Texas HS allstar game and he aint bad.
