SMU Offers JUCO Big Man
I don't know how much of a factor we are in his recruitment though-injury prone

Dendy may be the most talented JUCO in the country. Close to a Top 50 player coming out of high school, but went to a diploma mill in a strip mall. Lost his Clemson ride after the knew he had no chance of qualifying. Since he's been hurt this year, interest is far lower then what you'd think, but he's a serious player when healthy. I love the offer, but hold no illusions that he'd come to SMU

I think you actual mean the WDNWHA committee. The WDWHA Committee only acts after the recruit has signed with SMU.ponydawg wrote:I hear he is nervous about what the WDWHA Committee will have to say....and to be honest, I don't blame him.
They can be soooo picky.

Agree. But I like the offer & @ least Doh has identified that its a priority finding a big that can anchor the middle. If Doh could land someone like this kid & another JUCO like Lenny Daniel from Coffeyville things improve immediately.LA_Mustang wrote:I don't think it is a good sign that of the schools he has offers from, SMU is the only one he doesn't plan to visit.

The thing about Dendy is that he floats quite a bit. He's a big talent, but he's going to jack his share of 3s etc. Not sure if he's the anchor down the middle type

PonyDoh, you are right. Based on the video, he's a wing and more like 6'7 or 6'8. The article sz 6'10 & 235 lbs which I don't see. Loves the j.PonyDoh wrote:The thing about Dendy is that he floats quite a bit. He's a big talent, but he's going to jack his share of 3s etc. Not sure if he's the anchor down the middle type

Can he take it to the rack?

I sorta posted the video as a joke, but he's definitely closer to 6'9 then 6'10. He has soft hands, finishes around the bucket, and is an accomplished shooter from the elbows, or 15 ft in. Since JC, his range has grown, but so has his list of injuries. He can put it on the floor, but he's not going to generate a ton of his ow looks off the bounce etc. He's a 4, but leaning towards the 3, more then the 5.papawasamustang wrote:PonyDoh, you are right. cYCLONES are in big trouble. They were better off with Dan M as head coach then the UCF to Texas defence coach. No great players want to go there , it's freezing.George S. Patton wrote:Cyclones are struggling under Greg McDermottpapawasamustang wrote:verbal to Iowa State on Monday
They have Coach Mac as thier offensive master mind, he's a personal friend of mine coached the o line @ ucf, but he's a better salesman than a coach. Thier all going to get thier asses fired again after this year.
Dan M get's the last laugh moved from the assistant at South florida to The National champ Gators assistant head coach.
I just noticed they allready fired the guy from Texas
