When Lance McIlhenny graduated from SMU, he was the 4th all-time winningest QB in college football history with 34 wins (Dan Marino was 1st with 37 wins).

That both he and ED are not in the College FB HofF only minimizes that institution...not their achievements.

Don't throw ED under the bus. For all we know he might be one of the Circle of Champions.

Along with about 1000 others that got money? Are you going to list them also and demand retribution? There were plenty on my team getting paid and it did not begin or stop with them. It is not the kids fault if some fat cat waves money at them, especially if all the other schools are waving it at them also.

I bet he'll confess right about the time SMU tears down the names of Clements, Cox and the other dumbasses from the buildings on the campus of the university whose reputation that they flushed down the toilet to get that [deleted] re-elected Governor. And Folks don't kid yourself that is the reason that SMU -(no the small group who actually ran the Board of Governors)- decided they would not cooperate with the NCAA investigation in 1985(after 4 NCAA investigations in about 10 years) and in 1986(after 5 NCAA investigations in about 10 years) and intead this band of Dumbasses who ran the Board of Governors had a Payroll to Meet until Clements himself admitted the truth shortly after Inauguration Day.

I have always said those cheaters need to pay that money back to the athletic department via donations.

The accomplishments of ED MAC should put them in the HOF. Why do have to jump off the track so fast? Rehashing past sins and cutting each other in a game of one up man ship does nothing to increase our knowledge of pony football and current problems.

Dickerson has earned it and I hope he gets in. Dickerson didn't do it all by his lonesome to be sure. But SMU and college football have rarely seen a talent of Dickerson's caliber. He belongs in the HOF and I hope that he makes it.

I did not mean to imply he does not belong in the college hall of fame, I think he does regardless, but I still want him to give his cheating money back to SMU.

If donating to SMU athletics does no good then why the hell do people keep asking the ponyfans to contribute to the Mustang Club??
