My vote goes for Kris Briggs or John Hampton (you saw it here first: he has a huge year coming this season) — or maybe Kevin Garrett on an interception return!

Who will be returning kickoffs for us? I know that the Comet returned punts. Did not K. Briggs return kickoffs, too? Put them both back there. Would it not be incredible if one of them returned the opening kickoff back? The team and the crowd would go nuts! What a way to open a new stadium and a new season! 09-02-00! That would be so fun.

I honestly I am do not care who scores the first touchdown (granted I have my sentimental favorites), I just care that SMU scores first. It would be a damn shame for Kansas to score the first touchdown at Ford Stadium.

whomever it is it's going to be so coooool my guess it will be a pony and someone you least expect like a def. lineman or off. lineman but briggs is my guess!!

i think Comet will score the first TWO touchdowns, but not in consecutive drives, against Kansas.

McCown will score the first two-point convertion.
