Do we have enough QUALITY LINEBACKERS?

A lot will depend on who is hired as our new linebacker coach.

Youri Yenga and Patrick Fleming (outside)

Chase Kennemer and Pete Fleps (inside)

I like Fleming but I have a hard time believing he'd be fast and quick enough to be an OLB

Fleming was recruited as a TE and I seem to recall he saw some time as a wide receiver under Bennett. He might have the wheels to play an OLB spot. Bottom line is that whoever we have out there is going to be learning "on the job" so we should look for plenty of defensive lapses. The more speed we can put on the field, the better - in order to compensate for those anticipated lapses.

I would look for these players to get looks at the middle backer spots.
Pete Fleps, Chase Kennemer, Victor Jones, Aaron Davis, Zack Line, Jason Jackson, Ryan Moczygemba.

Youri Yenga will probably miss spring rehabbing a shoulder, but, I'm sure he will take an outside lb spot in the fall. Other players that shoud get looks at outside spots.
Patrick Fleming OLB/DE type, Robert Parker OLB/DE, Andrew Ellison OLB/DE, Cameron Rogers. I would think a couple of freshmen like Ja' Gared Davis, will be needed in the fall, at the very least for depth at OLB spots.
