We do have an automatic bid in the NIT since we won the regular season championship though.

No chance at all. RPI is in the 80's.
Thanks for the clarification.

Tough loss for SMU. Story of the game is UCF got to the foul line 35 times compared to our 13. They hit their foul shots too. When you're broke from the field (I think they shot 29% for the game), your offense has to come from somewhere and they found it at the foul line.
Would have preferred to be playing tomorrow for the NCAA tournament but will settle for the NIT. Any post-season play is better than nothing. Congrats to the team on the 20-win season. Make some noise in the NIT!

Bad loss today. Lost by 11 points to the 5th seeded team, that played 3 games in a row, and didn't have a single junior or senior on the team.

Didn't deserve to win. Ball handling was bad in the second half, mentally we were not smart and never boxed out and surrendered too many second chance opportunities.
If you look at my formula for winning this game -- I didn't check the boxscore just going off memory recall -- I don't think we accomplished any of them.
Give UCF credit. By watching it. They had more desire.
Just get ready for the WNIT.

Marshall's up on S. Miss by 6 at the half. Maybe having a first round bye isn't such a good thing.
I was just looking at UCF's roster - unbelievable that they have one Junior, 9 Sophomores and a couple of Freshmen. I would not be surprised to see UCF win this tournament and they'll be a scary team over the next couple of years.

The SMU tv jinx continues, seems like anytime we're on the tube, we lose, doesn't seem to matter which sport it is.

Another tourney game upset in the making. Marshall up by 10 on S. Miss. I don't think anyone would have predicted a Marshall vs. UCF final????

According to GameTracker we did have more assists than turnovers, we did have 3 in double figures and we shot 69.7 from the FT line. So almost 60% of your list Patton.

disappointing loss for the ladies. I assume this means NIT bound. Not a bad thing...maybe at that level of competition they can win a game or two. With virtually everyone coming back next year, things are looking promising for women's bball at SMU but next year will be key with so many seniors leading the way.
