The Daily Oklahoma has a recruiting information screen which lists their top twnenty-five players and school choices. It includes a DB, Adrian Henry from Tulsa BTW, with "medium interest" in SMU among six schools.

Is SMU still interested? Is he still available?

I was under the impression that we made early in-roads with a few guys at Tulsa BTW, but haven't heard a peep lately. Does this mean we're not trying in Oklahoma this year? Or are we not getting the reception we got last year with Muse and McGee?

I think this guy has academic issues. We never were a real factor for any Oklahoma recruit that I could find this year.

Adrian Henry is the number fourteen player in the state and still unsigned, according to the Oklahoman, and the schools still in the chase are SMU and Rice.

Well, if he's choosing between SMU and Rice, it certainly doesn't sound like an academic problem. Who knows?

How big is he?
Sure would be nice to open some doors at that school - they crank out a bunch of D-I talent almost every year.

It would probably help future recruiting efforts at a school like Booker T. Washington by not suddenly yanking the scholarship of Keith Williams, a BTW grad and former walk-on who was awarded a scholarship for his efforts on and off the field, without a solid explanation. Word of mouth is far more important in recruiting than promises or anything else a player could be told.

Oklahoman says 5-10 and 205 pounds, I think, gives no 40 speed. Says he has "medium" interest in both Rice and SMU. Maybe that means he'll end up at a JC or one of the directional OK colleges.
