Offering Highly Rated Prospects

Postby Alaric » Fri Mar 13, 2009 9:11 am

We're going to get a lot of dings from the best kids we're offering but it's a great way to put your name right up next to Texas, OU, USC & Alabama. You've gotta have some balls to offer the 3rd rated kid in the country if you're SMU - kids will see that confidence and take notice...sorta legitimizes us. If you're the 240th rated kid in the country who's thinking about us, it makes me feel better to see SMU offer 5 other kids on the list, especially after knowing SMU's sucked for the last 20 years. Kinda like Trey Bandy said, we've been the kid who was afraid to ask the hot chick out to the prom and now we're trying to take it over.

Yeah McLovin, how is it going with the ladies?

It's not the "going" I'm worried about... but the "coming".

I've never been one to be afraid of the hot chick, every so often, she says, oh, what the hell. :P
