It could happen. TCU just suffered a really bad loss to UNLV in the first round of the Mountain West tournament on Wednesday.
That dropped the Lady Frogs to 20-10 and put them squarely on the bubble. If they don't make it, it would be a great thing if the WNIT committee bracketed us with them in the opening round.
If they did that, they would probably play it at Daniel-Meyer.
Food for thought...
P.S.
Am I right saying we won't know anything until March 18 about our WNIT situation?

I think they'll release their bracket late Sunday night/Monday morning.

I want TCU in the Dance. Makes our win over them look that much better.

You may get that chance. Looking at the latest women's bracketology, the ESPN senior writer still has them in the NCAA tournament.

NCAA and WNIT brackets both are announced Monday night. At the latest, there should be some kind of a release by Tuesday morning.

I think TCU will make the NCAA tournament. I think the following teams in our area will make the NIT tournament:
Texas Tech
Oklahoma State
Arkansas
New Mexico
UA Little Rock (already know they're in with the auto-bid)
UTA (already know they're in with the auto-bid)
Louisiana Tech (already know they're in with the auto-bid)

UTA is not in. They lost to UTSA in the Southland finals, they will probably be our first round opponent.

I was saying UTA is in the NIT, not the NCAA. Not sure if they'll be our opponent or not. Geographically it would make sense.

Does anyone know if SMU submitted a bid to host WNIT games?

Yes, we did. I asked Rhonda before the Tulane game, when we still werent sure if we would win the regular season title. She said we had.

Not so fast, my friend. It might be eighth. But it's not consecutive. Remember, that they missed in 2008. Please carefully read your school's press release for accuracy. Thanks for the misinformation.

Meanwhile, SMU extends their dominance of TCU in WBB to 40-13.
