When do we find out if they make it and who they will play?

Making it is not an issue, that is gauranteed by winning the CUSA regular season championship.

Only question is who we will play and when....probably not much chance for a home game but we did make a proposal, so who knows.

Should be out very soon.

Actually i think we have a good chance for a home game in the first round, and I think it will be UTA.

would students be charged for tickets for a home NIT game? We would really need a strong student turnout but I wonder how many would actually pay to attend?

Everybody gets charged. It's the NIT's game, not the schools. Student turnout isnt really a factor at women's games, anyway, they are a fairly minor fraction of the crowd.

Sadly, it will probably only be about as many who pay to watch the women's team during the regular season.

Would the WNIT want to have a rematch? If for nothing than the sake of variety, I hope they bring in someone else.

but doesn't SMU have to "bid" for a home game, with the WNIT establishing a minimum bid?

I'm encouraged to think that SMU would underwrite a home game and I would think they would offer students free or cheap tickets and try to talk this thing up just to make a good showing and to make it a memorable experience

SMU did submit the bid to host.

I don't think the WNIT folks care about rematches - they want regional games, so I expect UTA at SMU would be a likely pairing.

I spoke with PonyPride earlier today and he said that we did submit the bid to host.
