Interesting kid, Stallion. Also, a pretty under the radar scoop. Who is feeding Josh @ Scout? This is a tight lipped staff

You are right PonyDoh, Josh is on top of this one. Here is the link:

Shooting guard listed on Dodge City CC roster at 6'1", listed elsewhere at 6'0". If he's really a point guard, that's another story, but that's tiny for a shooting guard.

Good article on him. I think we are not suppose to post premium info RRP.

at 6'0 he can be a combo, no problem. Small, volume scoring combo's, are a real asset.

As long as he is a serious hooper. I like those combo guards as well.

Most top drawer teams have a Harp type player for spot defense situations - that is what he is for us - a defensive blanket. The problem is when Doh gives him too many minutes.

Sorry, but I just don't get where you see him being a defensive "blanket." He routinely gets toasted by whomever he guards. He is a heady player who will get his hands on a pass and make a backside rebound for you but defensive stopper? No. Way.

We have Malone's scholarship and Hoge's scholarship to work with. Assuming we go 1 JUCO and 1 HS our class distribution of scholarship players next year will be as follows:

Senior- 2 (Faye, Williams)
Junior- 5 (Dia, Walker, Harp, TK, Juco)
Soph- 4 (McCoy, Nayakundi, Haynes, Mook)
Frosh- 2 (Julius, HS kid)

That is not a bad line-up. Let's hope we get a JUCO player to fill one of those spots.

I have to disagree with you when you say this is not a bad lineup.
This is the nucleus minus Fall of a team that only won 9 games this year.
There a 2 glaring weaknesses imo.
1st, this team needs to upgrade the low post/ pf positions in a big way.
We have been extremely soft down low & Doh needs to find a couple of low post players that not only can score but also are physical & bring some toughness to the team.
2nd, the guys listed above shot a very low shooting % last year. Doh needs to find scorers/shooters whether its from down low or from the perimeter. Too many games where we had long scoring droughts.
"We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."
