For those of you not reading the Bryan Hopkins' pet chicken thread on the other board, you guys are really missing out.

I am not sure that is actually my first post, but it seems fitting.

My first post... I had a different username back then...

January 17th, 2003 --

I haven't posted anything on a bulletin board since you had to dial straight into them (over a decade ago when I was in junior high). So I'm a bit rusty. Glad to be a part of the fold. Thanks. Nope. Gave up soda and booze.

Basically trying to quit smoking (figured if I could go no booze, I could go no soda, so why not loose some weight while I am it?).... My plan was to stop drinking so I could quit smoking without then going out for a drink a few days later... and bumming a cigarette. Only it hasn't worked out as planed. I'm still smoking.

But I've lost 20 pounds, which is nice.
