To summarize the above article, they rescued a sea turtle that had only 1 fin left (they think a shark took the other 3). The turtle swam in circles (duh) and they felt bad, so they tried to make it a fake fin, etc. The outcome of these efforts was a neoprene "ninja" suit.
My observations on this are that in about 8 years, we will have a Teenage Ninja Turtle on our hands. If only the turtle had been born with only 1 flipper, I would consider it a "mutant", but hey, 3 out of 4 aint bad. Turtle Power.
Somehow not as cool as I remember...

I always wondered what happened to Jeff George after he left the NFL.Rescuers think a shark chomped the three flippers. Two-flipper turtles can be adopted by zoos, and three-flipper turtles can be safely returned to the wild, but with only one, a turtle spins and struggles to break the surface to breathe. They are usually euthanized, said Sea Turtle Inc. curator Jeff George.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

If that's the case, then June Jones might want to avoid that place.jtstang wrote:I always wondered what happened to Jeff George after he left the NFL.Rescuers think a shark chomped the three flippers.
