And I think we know why in light of events from earlier in the day. Way to get people excited about your program, Matt. Ridiculous!

Just a joke by a staff w/no internet savvy whatsoever. They offer us a canned b.s blog, but keep the scout/rivals publishers at gun point. Nice work Doh, you are still every bit the control freak you were at UNC.

LOL, I just realized the thread about the verbal was removed from this board as well. I, for one, welcome our new Doh overlords

For those who don't know, somebody posted a thread about some juco guard who apparently committed. I guess it was on scout and rivals. I went to lunch and came back to read more and everything was gone.
Doesn't take much to understand that someone over at Crum ordered those stories to be taken down.
What the he!! is going on over there? For a program that's put up 19 wins in the last 2 years, they need all of the good pub you can get.
Way to go, Matt!

It sounds to me that a lot of us are SPECULATING as to what someone else is or is not doing. Maybe Scout ran with a bad rumor.

I don't think scout ran with a bad rumor. The reason why I say that is because the rivals board has some interesting notes.

Scout and Rivals seem to have the same info, that they've both been sitting on. Sounds like the the hoops staff tries to lean on the publishers, judging by todays events. Future scoops are on the line, if not credentials. Look at the difference between the way June Jones and company view the services, as compared to Doh. The AD throws us mostly useless blog, but stymies interest in the programs recruiting. Control

Its probably because he's only a Freshman JUCO eligibility wise and some may not realize he will transfer as a Freshman

so we are trying to stash him by keeping the verbal silent? If so, that's weak sauce. Give a strong verbal. keep recruiting the kid, and bring home the LOI

If Stallion's premise is correct, I can understand why he might not want it released yet. He is getting slammed right now for keeping it quiet, but I can assure you if he were to do as PonyDoh suggests, and then loses the kid, he would be slammed for not being smart enough to keep the commit quiet. I can see both sides of the arguement.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

Silent verbals don't exist in men's hoops, a modern day recruiting farce. What would Doh tell this kid? Kid, we want to keep your verbal silent, we're afraid bigger & badder schools will sweep you off your feet. Sure Coach Doh, I'd hate it if a Big 10 school offered me. Also kid, don't tell anyone you have 3 years eligibility left. In case no one has figured it out, everything about the way our staff conducts business is odd

Ok. So Stallions premise is not correct according to you. Then what is going on? I really don't have any idea and what Stallion put forth sounded reasonable. Since you are so adamant that this is not a "silent verbal", you must have some opinion on what is going on.
