If you look at the spring prospectus on smumustangs.com it says that the last time SMU held an opponent to less than 100 yards passing was Navy in 2008, holding them to 0 yards. My question is this, can it really be considered holding an opponent to 0 yards when they don't even attempt a pass?
Those who complain about a problem are simply wasting time they could use to fix it.
Potential is nothing, performance is everything.

Clearly they were in fear of our ironclad pass defense. It counts.

We also held Baylor to zero yards on zero attempts several years ago, so it's not an unprecedented accomplishment for this program.

Hey, shutting down the Navy passing attack was one of the very few things that even SOUND good about last season.

And just think, we did that without having E Sanders playing full time DB.
We are going to be unstoppable next year!

pass d last year was pathetic, although the scheme was great.
I have never seen so many players in position to make plays last year who didn't in DIA football. Amazingly bad, for example: 5 passes hit Castro in the hands in a matter of 2 games, and he has zero picks to show for it. Castro was just one of many. With the time in the new scheme and an offseason hopefully the D can improve into the top 50-70 in total defense. With JJ offense that would likely translate into a 7-8 win season in my estimation.
