High school ball is awful these days. Kid was learning nothing, all while waiting his turn at the league. He might as well concentrate on his craft, maximize his earning potential, and learn the game. I don't love it, but I understand it. He has a limited earning window. 99% of the money that kid will ever make will be in the next 13 years.
