Who Replaces The Great Craig Swann?

Postby PonyCat » Tue May 19, 2009 11:49 am

On a football-related topic, does anyone know who's replacing Swanny on the radio broadcasts? Perhaps Hampton moves up to the booth? Coach Jones' friend Gary Cogill? Anyone else have ideas or a "wish list"?

I don't even think there is a competition for the new color commentator. Stallion should get the gig.

Pregame goes to Special_Delivery_Smu_Fans.

Then the sideline commentator should be replaced by the fans in the stands commentators which should be mrydel and jtstang. Lots of back and forth about whose seats are whose but no expectations for a result.

The Homer call should be reserved for MM65.

The highlight show needs real in-depth flavor so George S. Patton, Jr gets the gig.

I hear Tony Kornheiser is available now that he's been canned by MNF. Heck, John Feinstein does color on Navy games.

Hire me. My year at ABC Network Radio makes me more than qualified.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I'm going to assume you're kidding, especially about Chris Arnold. The last thing need is the great Rich Phillips having his play-by-play being balanced out by some insightful analysis like "Bo Levi is all that and a bag of chips." The Ticket has had some horrible announcers/talkshow hosts, a lot of them, and he was right there among the worst after Greg Williams.

I'd vote for Chris Cunningham or Chris Bordano or Chris Sanders - all would be great.
