The mid-sixties were a special time for SMU football and the students, like myself, who enjoyed our success playing in the Cotton Bowl. Turnout was good.

John was and is a 'class act'!

In those days (mid-sixties), the BLVD consisted of fraternities renting Dallas transit and school buses from the campus to Fair Park, with kegs of beer and parked near the Cotton Bowl. We all went to the games fairly timely, but often leaving some of our pledges passed out in the bus.
