Anyone here in the Guard? Pending the Dr's decision tomorrow, it looks like I'll be signing up for OCS this week, but coming from a Navy background, I really have no idea what to expect. Anyone here been through the wringer?

Re: Texas National Guard?First week or two is sort of like boot camp/hell week...after that it is a matter of attending classes to learn military ways, duties, strategies and what you have to do to be an officer and...with a little effort...a gentleman. ![]() ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
I'm still waiting on my contract. The Dr's have been stringing me along for a few months now. But I'm used to the ride... I spent 8 years in the Navy so I know the drill lol. I was supposed to get my clearance and swear in this morning, but it's been pushed off to Friday. -CoS
