I saw him play vs. Marshall Mavericks in a cross-state matchup as an underclassman. East Texas 4A and 5A teams do that from time to time.
Born leader on the field. Follows the plan; doesn't get rattled; not afraid to improvise. Tough kid too. Can take a hit and bounce up ready to go.

I recall thinking at the time, "Wonder what it would take to get this kid to SMU?"

I like him.

Certainly looks like a nice prospect. I particularly liked the nice shoulder fake he threw in near the end of this vid. clip.
