Honestly, I prefer any place but Hawaii.
I can't go to Hawaii without taking the wife. I can't afford to take my wife to Hawaii rght now. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I tend to think that the first three games will be critical. These are weak teams but two are away and to be honest we may be a weak team too. If we can win those we are in great shape. I don't see us beating Navy, but I think we will beat either Houston or Tulsa this year.
I don't see us beating Navy...
Memo to anyone predicting a win over Washington State:
Look at their schedule. Who do they play at home the week before? Hawaii. So, basically, they see the same gimmicky offense 2 weeks in a row. They get to correct their mistakes from the first game. This could be ugly. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
I don't really get this thinking. There are two things that occur to me. The first is straight from JJ. The R&S, if executed correctly, is a system that should succeed no matter how the opposition plays against it. If the WRs run their routes and the QB has time to go through the reads there should always be a receiver open. The fact that the opposition knows you are going to throw the ball is immaterial. Of course we are not that good at the R&S but I don't think that WU's previous week's game will matter that much. The second point I want to make is this. The fact that they play against this system the week before is as much, if not more, of an advantage to us as them. While they will have had time and experience playing against this type of offense, JJ will have a chance to predict the matchups and Bo will be more aware of where to throw the ball. The bottom line is this, it will be the improvement in our defense that will pave the way for more wins this year and, with a different defensive scheme this year, we will have to wait for the first couple of games to gauge our success. The way I see it, our offense is likely to be more efficient this year. If our defense can make more plays, WU is a winnable game, as are a few others.
Agreed. SFA is a must win if we are to stay in Div-1 and we need to put all of our energy and focus into that game. I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Do not confuse "can't get worse" with "will get better." This is an awfully thin limb to walk out on. I have seen nothing to mitigate my consern for the defense. I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.
As 2112 would say..."like most card holding liberals.......jt sez.... the sky is falling everyday...." ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
