Stallion wrote:Actually each one of the above posters are showing that they can't logically and persuasively argue that the choice of Colt McCoy was not the BEST choice for the cover. Each one of you demonstrate that you can't overcome your hatred and prejudice against Texas which in the long run diminishes the credibility of your usual nonsensical rants about Texas. Same applies to TCU. Its emotional immaturity that keeps you from being able to rationally balance facts due to your own prejudice. Under a rational analysis Colt McCoy was the only choice for the Cover of Texas Football.
On the contrary, Mr. I-need-a-symbol-of-sporting-virility-in-my-username-to-feel-dominant, I think that your over-blown sense of supremacy has caused a critical short circuit in your evaluation of posts on this site. This is an SMU Mustangs fan site. This is, by definition, in my eyes at least, the home of prejudice. This is where I, for one, come to be prejudiced. I want to read nonsensical rants about Texas, and any other school that is not SMU. I want to poke fun at the Longhorns and everyone else (though especially the Longhorns). Colt McCoy could have just been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, the Booker Prize, and a Grammy all in the same year, I still want to feel free to voice my opinion that he's the spotty-faced chief of the biggest chain-gang in Texas. Why, because it's fun. I don't think it makes me feel superior, just amused. It's the same sort of amusement that is the birthplace of some of the finest sporting chants known to man, the reason I love sports, and that which I look for in others to watch sports with.
There are places for the logical and rational worship of sporting Adonises. This is not it. I am not in the wrong place, Sir. You are.
We are Ponies. Ponies are, by definition immature horses. Get used to it Stallion.

Great-you've admitted that you have a prejudiced perspective. Couldn't have said it better myself so I'll rest my case. I'll stick to a realistic, rational perspective. Next time you post I'll be sure to discount everything you and the rest of these Cheerleaders have to say while you live in your little fantasy world

And you were doing so well! You were precariously close to completing a reasonable point, until the very end, when your PF persona came roaring back. I don't live in a fantasy world. And even more so, my world is not little. If it was not presumptuous to do so, and if it did not sink to your level, I would suggest that my world is a lot bigger than yours. I live in a world where being a sports fan is fun. That's not fantasy. My joy at SMU success, no matter how small, is as real as it gets.

Based on this thread, I assume there was nothing in TF about SMU but a significant article on Stallion and his distractors. Too bad, I had really hoped to get a more in depth analysis of the Ponies for this fall. In Arkyland we don't get the news about SMU or Texas football in general as much as others.

It is painfully obvious that we need to get this second JJ season started.
We are all starting to sound like a murder of crows squawking over which of us will get the last scrap left at the construction site!
Get Real.
All of us here at PF care about SMU Football and want to see improvement and success, but it doesn't mean we scoop out our brains in the interim (sorry for the allusion to my previously posted Egghead Bowl pic of JJ's brain but I couldn't help myself due to being soooo... OC - both Orange County and the disorder! ).
Here in socal it would seem that Texas Football made the obvious and only choice for their cover with the Coltster!
Just think we shall soon be able to post live on game threads and all will be right with PF again!

DC's UTexas Football has UAB 4th, and Marshall 6th in the East. SMU is
5th in the West predicted to go 4 - 8. Wins over SFA, UAB, Rice, and
Tulane. Maybe we have a good shot at Marshall too for 5 - 7.
BTW, Stallion, I am a Pony FAN. That probably implies some "prejudice".
