Kudos to PONYFANS own Steve [deleted], for writing the SMU stories! GO PONIES, and to hell with the rest!

DCTF is right on target with my 2009 prediction for this team.
As for the Texas bashing, really kind of silly. More of you are entrenched with hating the Longhorns than talking about SMU.
Look at this thread, this has come down to a [deleted] contest over Texas. I was really hoping to read what people thought about the SMU writeup and if we agreed with [deleted]'s assessment or not.
Nice.

Too bad, I had really hoped to get a more in depth analysis of the Ponies for this fall. In Arkyland we don't get the news about SMU or Texas football in general as much as others.
DC's UTexas Football has UAB 4th, and Marshall 6th in the East. SMU is 5th in the West predicted to go 4 - 8. Wins over SFA, UAB, Rice, and Tulane. Maybe we have a good shot at Marshall too for 5 - 7. BTW, Stallion, I am a Pony FAN. That probably implies some "prejudice".
Thanks for the update. Pretty much in line with others though I fear it may be optimistic until we see what the defense can do.

Colt McCoy is the most deserving player to be on this cover since the last legitimate Heisman candidate from the state of Texas…Ricky Williams.
I also agree with Alex, what is unique about it???....it is the smart thing to do.

Wonder how Mack's team measures up against Urban's???
Urban wins in NCs....maybe in thugery as well...
The recent arrest of defensive back Janoris Jenkins brings the number of arrests to hit the football program to 24 in a four-year period.

Youri Yenga made the All-Texas Defense First Team at LB. No other player on First or Second Team. Recruit D.J. Jones made the First Team at RB. I don't think any of our commits made "Tops at the Position" -which is roughly a Texas Top 160. none of our 2008 Recruits made the Texas Top 75 for 2008-thought darius johnson might squeeze in there post season. SMU's 2008 Class was ranked 7th in Texas ahead of Rice, NTSU and UTEP. Poor Aggies-picked to finish 6th in Big 12 South this year

Thanks for a bit more info. Maybe not as long a year this season as the last couple.
One slight variable this fall. JJ has a reasonable amount of experience against PAC 10 teams. Wonder if that helps against WSU?

When I was in CC, the first place that usually had DCTF was the Wal-Mart in Aransas pass.

While I think Colt is certainly qualified to be on the cover, Burnt Orange does tend to make me nauseous. Those of us who were Mustang fans when we were relevant in football, do hate UT. But McCoy is the best player for probably the strongest football team in the state. Maybe Texas football has a curse similar to the SI curse.

When does a practicing attorney with a viable legal practice have time for this nonsense?

I like how DCTF has Houston over tech. And there is a picture of Greenbauer towards the front. And Beachum is 2nd team OL !

Regarding the availability of DCTF it has not in the past been available at newsstands in the Delta terminal at DFW or at the newstand in the car rental building.
I am still looking in Atlanta. Maybe Borders will carry the magasine this years.
ut if no luck, will someone suggest a place where I have a good chance of finding a copy if I exit and return to the terminal between planes at either DFW or Love.
