Thanks Stallion for the link.

BTW....Southlake Carroll's Kyle Padron another one of those
June Jones recruits that didn't get tons of offers that led his
team to victory in this all star game. General Patton quit
worrying so much, June Jones knows what the hell he is
doing!

I really hope you are not using a performance in some bogus summer all-star game as a validation for his qualifications. Besides, I wasn't expressing displeasure over the Padron/2009 class. I am not impressed with the 2010 class.

Bless your naivity. These all-star games are nice rewards to players who had great seasons. They are deserved. Do not be guided by a player's performance in this -- good or bad. They've had a week to work with WRs and teammates and all of the offense is beyond vanilla.

Let's get something straight here! I want this program to win but I'm to the point where I'm tired of the staff/school/players blowing a bunch of smoke up all of our collective you know whats

AND SAYING, 'OH, YOU JUST WAIT TILL YOU SEE HOW GOOD WE ARE!''

FINE -- WE'LL START KNOWING THAT WHEN THE AVERAGE YEARLY WIN TOTAL GOES UP FROM ONE AND WE STOP TAKING STOCK OF THE NEAR MISSES.

CUT THE TALK AND START WINNING SOME FOOTBALL GAMES.

I look forward to watching. I always liked the Padron offer, seemed like a calculated risk, but worth the try. As Patton stated, all-star games don't mean anything, so I won't take much from it, but the entertainment value.

Honestly, all I care about is SMU developing team speed, some size, and a defense. The offense will score by design & system. Until that other stuff comes around, we're pretty far from being legit.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.”- Jalen Jones

7:00 Tonite on Fox Sports Southwest. Don't miss the start because the one TD Padron engineered was at the very start.

Newsflash: It is June. There are no games until September. There have been no games since November. There is nothing to do but talk.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

General, whether or not it is a predictor of Padron's future performance, it is a validation of SMU. High School kids notice what school a player in an all star game is going to. We are still fighting the "SMU doesn't count image." You are absolutely correct that we must have wins, but every time an SMU player is in an all star game or named in a preseason article if adds to our credibility.

Shhhhhh.....Patton does not want anything positive said unless he can downgrade it, dismiss it, or pee on the parade. Everything must be negative! If anything is said positive it must be ATTACKED! So parents and possible recruits can come and read his doom & gloom.

It's becoming quite clear that even as I try to explain my points of view, there are those who either don't get it, don't accept it or really don't care because they have already made up their minds.

Laughable that I went from being accused as a sunshiner to a doom and gloomer.

Whatever.

there is a definite, legitimate argument that SMU's recruits so far have very few offers. Draw your own conclusions from those facts but those disparging a poster for simply stating facts are ridiculous. This is not simply a Cheerleader board-some actually want accurate information.
