Post by SMU 86 »

I know quantity does not always equal quality, but it is good to see we are being more assertive in recruiting.

C-USA Commitments

SMU - 13
Houston - 12
Tulsa - 8
UCF - 7
Rice - 5
East Carolina - 4
USM - 2
Marshall - 2
UTEP - 1

UAB - 1
Memphis - 0

Picky, picky. 8)
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

Going with what Rivals lists (err. plus our two latest commits), a breakdown by "Other Division 1A offers per commit" looks like this:

TCU= 3.71
Houston= 1.42
Rice= 1.4
Tulsa=1.25
NTCC= 1
SMU= .67
UTEP= 0
Tulane= 0

I tossed NTCC and TCU in with the C-USA West just to see where we stood with the regional rivals.
