A unique perspective of Washington State

Postby HB Pony Dad » Sat Jun 27, 2009 11:10 am

Thought this was rather amusing...

BTW, Washington State is my favorite program in the world. They are in the middle of nowhere, play in an itty bitty stadium, get waxed by just about everyone, in conference and out of conference…but still get a Big Check. I salute the Wazzu folks for this deal. They ride coattails better than anyone else in the country…Duke, Indiana, Baylor, Iowa State? Nobody does it better than Wazzu.

Until recently, Oregon State was that team. During the period 1971-1998, OSU had a .210 win percentage. Their stadium, until just 2 or 3 years ago, had about the same capacity as Martin Stadium at WSU currently has. Corvallis may not be as small or off-the-beaten-path as Pullman, but if Oregon State weren't there, would anyone here have ever heard of it?

Does that mean they don't have a whataburger?
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That's horrifying, and means anyone making the trip should get hazard pay.

The description (re: coattails) in the original post makes Wazzu sound like Baylor North.

Except WSU has won Pac-10 titles in the past 15 years, whereas Baylor has gone to zero bowl games.
