Post by Lotus »

Something called the Sand Mountain Reporter did a story about two local HS players who are being recruited by several schools, including SMU:

Boaz running back Drew Phillips and linebacker Chase Williams are living the dream for prep football players...

Visiting the big ‘D’

In early June, both Williams and Phillips traveled to Dallas to visit SMU.

I guess I've been taking the long way to Tarrant County.

I noticed that line, too. Whatever â€" he'll figure it out if/when he gets here. Bet they didn't mention what Jerry's charging to go inside that place, though.

Good find, Lotus. Thanks for posting

This isn't the same Williams who is the son of NFL assistant coach Gregg Williams, is it? I thought he was a lot bigger than this guy.

The 4.56 was at his most recent Nike event. Where did he run a 4.4? Seems like a huge jump in a short period and usually they don't run at the Nike if injured so doubt that was an issue.

Kid has some speed, no question about that, but 4.4?
