SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

I don't care about slogans and all that jazz. You get more people interested in your program when you start winning, which hasn't happened around here since rocks were new.

Yes but you do actually have to come up with a slogan. So since there is one, we might as well be able to say, hey, that's a good slogan and I like it.

If you dont like the slogan, let's here what you would have pulled the trigger on.

As I recall we all came up with a few, none of them were as good as the one SMU has for this year.

Great Job MD! If you can stick a game schedule in with the season ticket promo will be on a roll. :D

Not sure if you were being sarcastic or not but one of last year's billboards said "June Cometh: His Run N' Shoot is Locked & Loaded".

I just indicated that I had no use for slogans. I understand them but they really mean nothing, especially since this program has been tanking for 20 years.

But for sake of discussion, here's mine:
SMU football - It's about damn time to expect something!

It's actually way past time to expect something, but I still advise against it.
