Beasley is a good little player...but he had stone hands on a few balls in the clutch. I imagine that has improved...or at least it has if he wants to live up to the magazine's expectations.

Can anyone say if Beasley had a Dallas connection before starting at SMU? Did he his parents or grandparents ever live in Dallas?

I'm not talking about hanging in Dallas on weekends.

A long time ago I knew a Beasley who wanted to play football at SMU. IIRC he had attended Woodrow Wilson. Nothing came of it. I believe he was a good HS player but probably too small and perhaps slow for the college game. Probably the name is a coincidence, but that is what prompted the question.

Age wise, the person I met could have been a grandparent.
