The DMN graded each team in the draft and gave Orlando a B+ and said this...
Call us biased, but more than a few locals think the Magic landed a certifiable sleeper by snagging Mr. Sasser earlier than expected. Orlando also got Cook, the projected No. 22 pick, and dumped the salary of Mike Doleac in its bid to clear cap room for Antonio Davis.

Re: DMN Drafting Grades
"Certifiable sleeper?"
I think Sasser peaked his Sophomore year and did not improve much. I am glad for SMU but I don't think he will be much of a player.
Then again, I am not an NBA GM or scout

All you have to do is look at my name to know which way I lean, but I think Jeryl is going to do great in Orlando. He needs to be on an active, athletic team, and with McGrady, Hill, Bo Outlaw (hey, he can really run), Sass might have landed in the perfect place.
