Time to pray for wins

New Braunfels residents pray for rain
ews

NEW BRAUNFELS - For a few minutes at least, the heavens opened and answered the prayers of more than 200 people.

Officially, only .03 of an inch of rain fell in New Braunfels Thursday evening, the same amount that was recorded in San Antonio, according to the National Weather Service.

But to the residents, pastors and passers-by who gathered in the town’s square to pray for showers, the brief rainfall was a gift from God.

Meanwhile, the cacti who no longer have to compete with water-needy plants are still thanking God for the gift of drought.

They should call up Pac-Man Jones. He'll make it rain.

The secondary will be OK, especially with an improved pass rush.

At least they got a sprinkle. In Corpus Christi they haven't seen any rain for a long, long time. They've only had 3.65 inches of rain so far this year. By now, they are usually at about 16 inches of rain.
