Glad to see him married and doing well. I think he also has a farm that grows produce over in East Texas.

Seems Ford was an avid fisherman in his playing days. Does he still fish?

I know that Ford was a prominent QB and an All-American at SMU in the late 1970s. What I can't remember is whether it was Ford that McIlhenny replaced as starting QB before the UT game in 1980. Is that right?

Ford suffered a knee injury in the second game of the 1979 season (TCU). He started alright in 1980 (he was 4-0 at one time) but two costly loses (BU and UH) in which Ford had problems open the door for other QBs. Mike Fisher and Lance McIlhenny competed the week before the game for the starter position against UT in 1980.

Thanks for the link to Ford's ranch.
