Women's Basketball Roster

Postby mustangbill67 » Sun Aug 02, 2009 7:35 pm

Maybe I missed this but three non-graduating players from last year are missing on the current roster, Morgan Shell, Alicia Mitcham and La Shandra Hill. The preseason roster has nine returning players. Rhonda signed three new players and we have two OK State tranfers coming in for a 14 person roster. Anyone (XTC) know what happened to Shell, Mitcham and Hill?

Morgan Shell has transferred to Denver University and is sitting out a year. I have no idea why she left.

La Shandra Hill has transferred to Wayland in Plainview, Texas. Again, I have no idea why she left.

Hill was doing poorly in the classroom. So much so that there wasn't any likelihood she was going to be on the roster next season any way. One of the things I heard was that she was not living on campus during her time here. She was commuting from Fort Worth. If that's true, I don't know why that would be allowed.

I was really excited when we signed her and loved her speed, but we have to move on. I wish her the best. Disappointing but maybe Rhonda and her staff knew this roster shakeup was coming and prepared for it.

Not taking care of the little things obviously. Although Ft worth to Plainview will be a hell of a commute.

I think that girl committed to us about a year ago.

Really general? The first line of the article, "Its been nearly 9 months since she committed to SMU" what a memory you have.

Well, I couldn't open it because -- Ding! Ding! -- I don't have an account with them. And I was merely offering something that somebody on this board MAY not have known about.

Anything else, self-appointed east coast elitist?

So then I'm not a self proclaimed east coast elitist, good to know.

I apologize. I was just having a bad morning and you didn't deserve the ugly cheap shot.

Again, I know what the article said but the first line said CUSA so I just wanted to clarify it. But I have seen her play twice. She's got a little more work to do but she's intriguing. Quicker than I thought when I saw her.
