Gamma Eta Chapter Wins Smythe Award for 2008-2009
The Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is proud to announce that the Gamma Eta Chapter at the University of Southern California was awarded the prestigious Robert Adger Smythe Award this past weekend at the International Awards Banquet in Memphis, Tennessee. Members of the chapter were present at the awards banquet which was held in conjunction with The Academy. This is the chapter's first ever Smythe Award, which is the highest recognition that a Pi Kappa Alpha chapter can receive. The men of Gamma Eta Chapter compiled these impressive statistics during 2008-2009 to achieve this recognition:
• 107 man chapter
• 1st on campus in initiations
• Top 3 on campus in size
• 7,000 hours of community service
• $7,000 raised for philanthropy • 57 men recruited; 50 men initiated
• 3.2 GPA
• 18 men to Pike University
• 2nd in athletics
• 100% collections

if you are so inclined to meet him, the fraternity advisor at SMU is a Pike...Josh is definitely one of the coolest and well put together fraternity men I have met, we all look up to him.
