He is a high two at 5.4. He could easily move to a 5.5 three star if he has a good year IMO.

Once again, it's nice to be able to say our recruits have a certain rating, but those ratings are made (often ... not always) by guys who have never seen the guy play. They talk to coaches, they hold those camps to measure and time the guys, but they're not coaches who evaluate talent for a living. I'm far more impressed by the number of guys Coach Jones offers when they have little or no public attention and then end up collecting a lot of offers toward the end of recruiting. That's a far better assessment of a guy's talent.

I bet this guy ends up getting a precious extra star before signing day, and don't care if he doesn't. Our coaches can evaluate talent, and if they're as happy as they seem to be with the talent coming in, so am I.

Believe it or not Corso the coaches keep up with those ratings. They use them as a recruiting tool. Not many recruits like to go where low rated recruits are going. I hear what you are saying but the ratings are really not for us as much as they are for future recruiting purposes. The SMU coaches have referred to where they have ended up in rankings more than one time. Again, from an internal standpoint, and I take it take is where you are coming from, it does not mean as much, but from an external standpoint for future recruiting it means lot. And this is coming from coaches I have spoken with.
