Hotel Palomar
Decided to try Hotel Palomar in lieu of the traditional "home opener weekend" at the Doubletree. Looking forward to it. Any reviews on Hotel Palomar? Thanks!

That is where I stayed every game weekend and it is nice - just not $300 a night nice when I was barely ever in the room.

If you really want the Palomar, book a room at Hotel Lumen which is the sister property and is on Hillcrest just north of Mockingbird. Used to be a Best Western or something.

Re: Hotel Palomar
There was actually a special on Travelzoo for Hotel Palomar for $109 per night. That's about what I pay for the Doubletree.
I tried the Radisson "again" right after Christmas for an SMU Bball game. It was ok. Needs a makeover.
Thanks!

No need to put girlfriend in quotes - JT knows I have them. He has pictures to prove it.

Had, those don't show up anymore. But I'll always cherish fond memories of Brandi.

Re: Hotel Palomar
Try the DoubleTree @ Campbell Center (Caruth Haven @ Central Expressway). Rooms are about $100 on weekends. 10 minutes to The Hilltop on the service/feeder road of Hwy. 75/Central Expressway.
Hotel Lumen used to be The University Motel YEARS ago!

Lumen used to be a Ramada I think. Lumen and Palomar are part of the Kimpton family of hotels.smupony94 wrote:If you really want the Palomar, book a room at Hotel Lumen which is the sister property and is on Hillcrest just north of Mockingbird. Used to be a Best Western or something.
