Goofy Letter? It is one thing to disagree with the writer of the letter, but to stoop down to name calling? Yes, the letter says "fishy", but it is really a question of how it will be a sellout based on the previous years. I do know that the writer of the letter does want success at SMU and cares about SMU and would like every game to be a sellout, otherwise he would not be a supporter for 30 plus years and express his opinions whether positive or negative. He just questions some of the ideas & methods that are done to reach that success and that questioning, unlike what some writers to Ponyfans want to believe, does not mean he is "stupid" or the other names being called at him.
But, we do now know how it could be a sellout based on a DMN article on this past Friday or Sataurday apparently after the letter was sent to the DMN, where 18 SMU people are going to handle the selling of 1,000 tickets each.
Also on a side note, it appears that some people who have written to Ponyfans may have a little too much time on their hands by Google information on Ronald kaim.

I apologize for using the term "stupid". I did not know you were using the term "fishy" that way. Thanks for clearing up the context Ronald.

After 20 years of losing, I don't think any of us should question anything the athletic department is doing if we are winning games. We are probably the only school in the country that can't get away with cheating of ANY significance, therefore we would never try. Keep repeating that and keep your head down.

Good point Mr. Pony. The term "fishy" should have never been used. I just don't see why a supporter of SMU would put something out there like that anyway. Especially after all this school has been through.

I hope all of you that are calling he DMN realize that will only inspire them to print more of the same. Media thrives on this. Just let the letter stand for what it is. Smart people will understand the idiocity of it and those that do not, well we can pity their absent minds.

But I guess I too should be offended that I was not asked to "pony up" a million dollars out of my pocket to contribute towards the new coach. I wonder if he knows that Orsini is looking for a lead contributer for a new swimming facility. Maybe he could be the man for this.

Ward Huey, a longtime corporate executive and board officer at Belo, is an SMU alum. Though he's now retired and acting in an advisory role, he's directed millions in Belo corporate philanthropy SMU's way. So I hardly think Belo is targeting SMU for sliming.

This is at least one thing Frog and Pony fans have in common. We all think that any press that's less than glowing is a conspiracy.

Didn't say the "executives" and "board officers" are involved in a conspiracy, now did I, frog?

I said the sports editors, (you know, the guys who thought publishing this guy's letter was a good idea?) would view the cheating angle as valid when it wasn't.
