Re: Coaches on the Hot SeatSounds like UCF isn't content to play under .500 football. Hopefully SMU fans will expect winning seasons in the near future...............
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Coaches on the Hot SeatYeah, SMU fans have been real happy the last 20 years.
You continue in your amazing streak of inane posts. Keep up the great work. An atheist is a guy who watches a Notre Dame-SMU football game and
doesn't care who wins. -- Dwight D. Eisenhower
Re: Coaches on the Hot SeatG.O. is not going anytime soon with a 5,000,000 buy out. Plus you wont get a better coach. Perhaps they need better recruiting. He will finish his time at UCF.

Re: Coaches on the Hot Seat
Who was the AD that signed a contract with a $5,000,000 buy out? It't not like O'Leary is Urban Meyer, Bob Stoops or Pete Carroll...................although Georgia Tech did win a national championship back in 1990 with him as head coach. Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Coaches on the Hot Seat"although Georgia Tech did win a national championship back in 1990 with him as head coach"
I thought Bobby Ross was their head coach when they won it in 1990? C-ya @ Milos!
Re: Coaches on the Hot Seat
In the words of Chris Farley from Billy Madison, "That is correct."
"smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: Coaches on the Hot Seatfreshman this year were born in 1990-1991
Re: Coaches on the Hot Seat
Why the Mob Boss ![]() UCF possesses a lot less blue chip alum than SMU. If you don’t believe me ask T.L And I actually believe that the championship they won was a shared or co- championship. George has several coaches of the year honors. and how can we forget his snafu at Notre Dame? George O'Leary's first stint at Georgia Tech was 1987-91 as the defensive coordinator/defensive line coach. [1] During this tenure, the team finished 11-0-1 in 1990 and won the national championship, defeating Nebraska at the Florida Citrus Bowl. The 1990 NCAA Division I-A football season ended with a split championship and the ensuing controversy led to the creation of the Bowl Coalition, a precursor to the Bowl Championship Series. The title was split between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Buffaloes took the AP poll while the Yellow Jackets took the UPI poll by one vote over Colorado, 847 to 846.
