Still could happen but as of today it doesn't look good.
SMU having some problems finding a date to make it work.
Northwestern would love to make the trip to Dallas.

Should schedule SFA again. Lumberjacks are looking for a good warm up game to start the season.

What is a Florida Gulf Coast University? You'll find out soon!!!! Since Orsini is so fond of surveys he ought to ask how games against Florida Gulf Coast University affect my interest in buying Season Tickets. Games like this are the reason that I learned long ago that I could live quite happily without attending SMU Basketball Games which I had previously not considered after about 30 years. In fact, I got so used to not going to the cream-puff games that I decided not to go to any games at all.

The 2009-10 campaign will officially tip-off on Nov. 13 when the Horned Frogs welcome Mid-American Christian University to the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.

Following their season opener, the Frogs will travel to Phoenix, Ariz., to take part in the 2009 Preseason NIT on Nov. 16-17. If TCU wins both games, the Frogs will travel to New York City on Nov. 25-27. If the Frogs fail to get out of the Phoenix bracket, TCU will host a pair of games at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on November 23-24.

The non-conference schedule for the Frogs will feature SMU (Dec. 2) as part of the State Farm DFW Duel in addition to contests at home against Louisiana Tech (Nov. 28 | 29), Texas Tech (Dec. 8), St. Gregory's (Dec. 19), Northern Colorado (Dec. 30), Rice (Jan. 2) and UT Pan American (Jan. 20). The road non-conference schedule will also feature Nebraska (Nov. 21), Wichita State (Dec. 12) and Houston (Dec. 23).

I wonder if the frog fans will use this powder puff schedule, as an excuse to keep their money in their pockets, and bail on the program?

Add TCU & it looks like a real D1 home schedule for a change.

Add the tourney in Hawaii & I like the way the schedule is shaping up.

We might actually match up with Bobby Cremins' College of Charleston team in the 2nd round of the Hawaii Tourney. Watching both teams last year, I gave the edge to Charleston, but that would be a really interesting contest to me. Hope it happens.

"Pane (Dallas kid who fared well his frosh year but got burried last season)"

My understanding is that Brockeith transferred to a JUCO at the break last winter.

Looks like we have a home & away game this season with Texas State & a home game against Houston Baptist.

Wow, kinda strange to play two against Texas St in such a short period, they play some big names, Texas, Depaul, and TCU to name a few....

The Houston Baptist game was a given, we seem to play them every year.

I think we did a home and home with Texas State in one of Jimmy Tubbs' seasons.

That's not true... We played Texas State at home during my redshirt year and at Texas State my junior year...

I looked. You're right. Again, I was trying to remember. Maybe it was that I was irritated with the fact that we went on the road to play a SLC team, something that we should never do. That's why, if this is right, that's really bad scheduling.

I'm sorry you should not be going on the road to play games where the word guarantee usually comes in front of them.

Really seems strange to play a home and home the same year against a non conference opponent...I guess we were having a hard time filling out the schedule and had to do it. I do like going to watch SMU play on the road in other gyms..so this could be a nice trip...on a Saturday, 4:00pm game...could easily drive down in the morning and make it home well before midnight saturday night. Good road trip game for us!
