Fill in the blank: Total OffenseOK, prognosticators, I will do one of these every day. Let's get some predictions on the record.
Fill in the blank: At the end of the 2009 football season, SMU will be ranked # ____ in total offense (yards). Last season, SMU was 98. I am predicting a remarkable jump to around #35, call it 36th in total offense. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Fill in the blank: Total OffenseSMU will be ranked # 69 in total offense (yards)
Re: Fill in the blank: Total Offense45th in total offense ( top 20 in passing and near 100th in rushing )
Re: Fill in the blank: Total Offense17th.
A man can dream, can't he?
Re: Fill in the blank: Total OffenseI agree with the initial statement. SMU will be ranked in total offense (yards).

Re: Fill in the blank: Total OffenseI predict that Dooby will post another one of these tomorrow. I have no reason to doubt the man's word.

Re: Fill in the blank: Total Offense#48 in total offense
Re: Fill in the blank: Total Offense55, but our punter won't have the longest rush of the season this year.

Re: Fill in the blank: Total OffenseI predict its too early to predict until McNeil's eligibility is decided. without McNeil-I'd rate SMU's running game at the very bottom of the NCAA-I can't think of a team in this part of the country that has less talent at RB. I also think that SMU needs to come up with another weapon at WR rather than the possession receiver type of performance we got last year at two WR positions. If SMU doesn't solve those issues I don't see substantial improvement on offense. But I think in Mcneil, Darrius Johnson you have some answers that could make this a very dangerous big play offense. Also interested in both Wilkerson and Haynes who have reportedly added a lot of strength to their frames.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: Fill in the blank: Total OffenseWell, my prediction, which is a big jump I admit, is assuming McNeil is eligible.
Also, I am surprised by the statement "come up with another weapon at WR rather than the possession receiver type of performance we got last year at two WR positions." I think we have big play receivers on this team. I think the issue was inexperience with the system and overall QB inexperience. I have a lot of confidence in Sanders and Robinson to make big plays.
