BTW...why are you trying to bring politics/Obama up again? The Moderator seems to be pretty clear that this isn't the place for you to spew your politcal garbage. I'll be happy to supply you a web address where we can discuss politics on a political message board....I need a new punching bag!
I would gladly be your pushing bag sir, if of course you fell me worthy :D

Just what I want out of a message board:

1. Yaaaaay team!
2. We are the youngest team in the nation!
3. Everything is great, all our recruits are the greatest, we will win 10 games!

Why is it that IPP is the official Keeper of Coach Approval? You were on here bashing Bennett for the longest time, but suddenly you equate questioning the coach with hating SMU? Why are you qualified to tell us when we can question a coach?

In response to Jason, Jones will pick the best for his offense, he picked Robinson, a senior qb for the Warriors who played for several different qb and offensive coordinators, because he was a passer who picked up the offense and made the throws. Justin Willis must not have shown enough pocket presence to throw first and forget the run. If Jones could do it, he'd have the qb throw on every down. My understanding is that Justin is quick with his feet and he will take off, not what Jones wants in his qb.

I wish him luck. There is life beyond football. He will have an SMU degree and that is
whats most important.

BLM was a debacle and JJ has proven NOTHING yet. If I was JW and knew I did not have a chance to play then why not concentrate on school and family? He can be proud the team he was on went 6-6 a couple of years ago. That was quite an accomplishment. I understand how the kid feels. To be upstaged by BLM because he is coaches guy when you are sitting on the bench with quite a bit more talent truly hurts. Its not like he was waiting for any opportunity.

Good luck to Justin.

What June Jones should have wanted were a couple of victories last season. He no doubt should have played Willis more. Up to this point BLM has been a debacle. Was not he a 1 star coming out High School?

The jury is still out on whether Jones will be able to accomplish anything here. Its unfortunate that Willis got caught in the vortex of a coaching change.

First of all never respond to me I am hereby unrespondable, so there.
Second why cant Jones be like Mack Brown and shift his offense to his players instead of the other way around?
Third its raining right now in Arlington why cant it snow?

My hope is you make the best of your time and your chance.

Just what I want out of a mesage board:

1. Booooooo SMU Team!
Booo 2nd year respected Head Coach....
Boooo AD that hired one of the highest paid coaches in college football
Yeah Texas Longhorns! Yeah everybody but SMU!
Our stadium sucks....our uniform sucks....our music sucks....our Blvd prices suck...
hell everything sucks!
2. We should only allow the negative & no response should be allowed....One way street!
3. Everything is terrible, all of our recruits suck.
(see I can make them up and greatly exaggerate too!)

couch'em why is it sooooooo odd to respond to SMU bashing and/or demeaning posts
about SMU on an SMU fan message board? Good Golly I have never heard of such!

couch'em can you show me where I equated questioning the coach with "hating SMU"?

couch'em can you show me where I said I was qualified to tell anyone when they can
question our coach? anyone can question whatever they want, but they should expect a response.
do you have a problem with that? is it to be a one way street of negativity and
doom and gloom? As far as Bennett I was not bashing him before he even had a chance
to start his 2nd season....if we are 1-11 after several years of June Jones then yeah
I would say JJ needs to go just like Bennett.....is that soooooo odd?

why is it "out of bounds" to respond when someone basically states that "last year with only one win really proves Coach June Jones made a mistake not starting Justin"....when the year before with Justin starting we only won one game?
