Shawnbrey sat at our table at the kickoff lunch last week. He mentioned that JJ told him they thought they would hear from the NCAA by "next Thursday". I assumed he meant Thurs, Aug 27 but maybe he meant Sept 3.

That's what I thought. I heard it was on the docket for yesterday. That's why I was confused by the earlier post. I figured someone heard that he did not get the OK from the NCAA. Good to hear we are still in the hunt to get him for this year.

I believe he'll play this year. But, even so, what would his sitting out a year hurt? Let him get his personal stuff taken care of and come out next year ready to take on the world. Either way, I am excited to see the guy play.
