UNIVERSITY PARK – Sophomore safety Chris Banjo howled with excitement as he jogged back to his position – and he hadn't even made the big hit that radiated a distinct popping noise across the practice fields.

Freshman linebacker Ja'Gared Davis had smacked running back Zach Line, a much bigger guy, to cause the stir.

"People enjoy playing in this defense now," Banjo said. "Last year I felt like we were all stiff, like machines. This year it looks like a lot of people are having fun."

Couldn't DMN have used a more flattering photo than the one showing the SMU defender getting beat over the top?

Are you not familiar with the DMN and SMU? Not to mention, they misidentified the player in the picture, it's Keith Robinson, not Chris Banjo. :wink:

Perhaps the picture was meant to show last seasons results to which we hope to contrast this season.
