No. We should give those names to two better schools so those great men aren't tainted by weak D-II schools.

Now if they chose to exercise the option to split into five states, then Texas would have 10 senators and still be a part of the Union, and we'd still be ranked 108.

If Texas succeeded from the Union and became an independent state and the NCAA didn't recognize Texas schools as eligible for college competition, then the Texas schools would have no need to form a conference. Instead, the Texas schools could form their own league. And since Texas is now a sovereign state, the new league could be called the National League. And if we are really lucky, the new league will allow colleges to pay its players thus forming the National Football League. And that my friends, is how we get back into the business of buying championships!

Long live an independent Texas and the new NFL!
