And of course, the funny thing is that again Boise beat a very highly touted Oregon team. This was Boise's chance to make a statement and they did. Great game by their QB. Boise was the better team throughout the game.

For those that did not see it, Oregon made their initial first down with 7 minutes remaining in the 3rd period. Now that is a potent Pac-10 offense. And they are supposed to challenge U.S.C. for the title.

And the idiot that threw the punch at the Boise player, and the cops that were escorting him off the field, is the same guy that was quoted as saying about Boise State that "We need to give these guys an a** whuppin." That was actually put up on the screen and analyzed by Bob Davie and his sidekick. Davie had the best come back line quoting Jackie Sherrill (spits), "don't write a check that you can't cash."

They should suspend that thug for the rest of the year, but they won't.

While the Boise player should not have been taunting him, there is never a good reason to punch another player. Funny that Blount couldn't take the smack talk. I guess he never learned the old saying that my father used to tell me....if you can't take it, don't dish it out. What a moron!

I do kinda feel sorry for the Oregon player, obviously he was mad/embarrassed about the loss, but was out there shaking hands when a Boise St. player decides to be an A-Hole and run up and hit him on the shoulder to get his attention to taunt him...the punch is instantaneous.....stupid on both counts. Course he then lost his head and probably felt pretty threatened.

Guess in the end, you can't throw a punch , but he was provoked....We have seen SMU guys take swings at other players in the heat of things, I would say he gets his one game suspension and should be allowed to play again.

This was a must win for Boise, wasn't so for Oregon. Oregon will get better as the season goes on.

After the punch, the Oregon QB immediately started backing off. On the other hand there were about 10 Boise players who would have pummelled him if he had followed up into the fray.

HA! Guess I should have clarified that I was calling Blount the moron, and not my father (God rest his soul).

Good point. Both players should actually be dealt with. When I saw the tape Coach Peterson was none to happy with his player for inciting the incident by pushing the Oregon player. That showed no class either. I am sure Coach Peterson will have disciplinary actions for him as well.

Not sure why this is so high profile, maybe because it was a big game on national TV, happened during the handshake, was a very effective punch..whatever..point is, something like this happens every week, you just don't hear about it. I remember an SMU player either last year or two years ago taking a full out swing at a player after the whistle...as conference rules dictate, he was thrown out of the game, suspended for the next, and then came back and played after that.

Same should happen here.

Blount was an idiot for putting stuff on the board but that was AMAZING. The Boise State player put his hands on the other player, talked some trash and got dropped for it. Things like that are why I love DVR...I broke those two minutes down like Larry Merchant.

PONY UP!
