This game was the epitome a hollow victory. I always expect SMU to lose. And this game was no exception. Honestly, I'm amazed the Mustangs won. That being said the Mustangs are still my team.

not sure, but was talking with a guy that is in charge of the ticket takers at halftime and he said it wasnt close to a sellout. There were lots of empty seats. If it werent for the free tickets they gave some of the local school, it would have probably been half full

Perfect observation and analysis. He did not look any better than he did last year.

So who told him that his nickname should be Gunslinger???

Might be time for that person to rethink some things

Just got back from the game. Shawnbrey McNeal is the best player on the team and it is not even close. He truly was the MVP. Honorable mention would go to Sterling Moore and a couple of others. SFA out gained us in total yardage by a good bit. The Darius Johnson TD catch was worth the price of the ticket.

we found a way to win
we won the turnover battle
we made some strides on special teams
we found a running back
we need our starting QB to find himself
we know the corners need work
we know the linemen need work
we have lots of film for receivers to review
we got some of the rust off

They also out played us by a good bit!

Divine intervention providing needed INTs and LOOOOOOONG FG's saved the Methodist believers tonight!

So if you expect to see another win this year you had better get up and go to Church tomorrow morning and say a BIG "Thank You"!

About 7-8k of those "sold" tickets came to the game dressed as empty seats tonight.
