Sunshine alert

I was at the OU game, almost fainted watching the score updates...but after analysing the box scores, it appears that 14 of SFA's points were off of short field positions (2 and 5 play TDs), cause by INTs.

Without any excuses, it should never have been this close, but the D appears to be doing a bit better than last year despite the near 500 yards given up. 6 INTs is encouraging.

Recall, our D sucked against TSU last year as we struggled against another Div1aa. More of the same? I don't think so, yet.

The O seems to have not done their job with the exception of the RB...perhaps we will have more of the RUN and shoot this year.

Let's see how BLM does next week. Perhaps he just had a bad day...we faithful hope so...he's done better than this before.

Our D is much better. Two long interception returns gave SFA short field position. Our guys got some aggresive turnovers which were game-changing in nature by fighting for balls and stripping it from the other guys hands. Fantastic effort and tackling was better although it can still get better.SFA did a great job of back-shouldering receivers which frankly, I don't see how anyone covers that play. Our D was on the field way too much due to the ineffectiveness of our offense and too many three and outs! Don't be fooled by the stats. Too, SFA had some super skill guys on defense and offense who could play for many D1 programs.
