The Hill

Postby Pony94 » Sun Sep 06, 2009 10:45 am

It was nice to see the endzone hill opened up and the 4 bounce houses, however, does anyone know the status of the person or child that was injured at the bottom of the hill towards the end of the game? I saw emergency personnel running over, but never caught them take anyone away.

I hope they are alright.

Don't know how he is but he took a pretty hard fall. Was right in front of me.

He was taken from the stadium to the hospital by ambulance in both a neck stabilizer and strapped to a backboard.

I'm sorry to say, it didn't look good.

I bet this translates into the yellow jackets
and ropes closing off the grassy knoll again.

oh no. i was down there for a bit and kids were having fun. The hill needs to be open. the problem is its a bit too steep. not sure anything can be done about that or it could have been graded differently.

Sorry to hear about the kid getting hurt, but my thoughts during the game were that the hill being open was one of the best changes to the game atmosphere. My kids spent a majority of the game either lounging on the hill or running up and down the hill, and said after the game that it was one of their favorite times at a game in several years.

I would only be nervous about them being there if we are planning more fireworks for the Navy game.

for safety reasons, they will probably need to build up some type of buffer/padding at the bottom of the hill. I've been concerned from day one that someone is going to get hurt chasing after PATs
