Everyone Calm Down...

Postby Blvd.Fan » Sun Sep 06, 2009 6:11 pm

The team is miles ahead of last year...BLM sucked for sure and probaly doesn't get it; but the team overall looked great. The problem with Bo is his eyes. He can't see anything. He's near-sighted and refuses to wear contacts. The face guard makes the proiblem worse. Yes, the coach's have been told.

I'd suggest he get some corrective lenses.

........ we had a harder time beating a worse team than this time last year. We are light years ahead? Some areas are better, yes, but light-years?

If this is true, and he doesn't want to wear contacts, he should look into a pair of sports goggles. If they are good enough for ED, they are good enough for BLM.

This is what I don't get...several keep saying how we have "turned a corner" or are "light years ahead", what are we basing that on....Quit believing the hype, just because we paid 2 million a year for a coach does not make us winners...if I recall correctly the Mighty June followed up Phils 1 win season with a 1 win season of his own and after months to prepare for the home opener, we lay an egg against a FCS school that is picked near the bottom of the Southland Conference...We should have lost that game and were damn lucky we didn't....

I hope we can turn it around and I am optimistic BUT it could take a couple of more years and I certainly am not going to say things are looking brighter when clearly they are not...YET....when and if it does turn, I will be happy and give credit where it is due, but for now we are still the Same Ole SMU as always, we just have someone different driving us over the cliff.

Those face guard shields can be made to prescription. Some pros have them because of eyesight problems.
